Denim works for everyone, young and old. No closet is complete without them and the good thing is they work for all occassions . They come in all sizes an everyone can find one that suits them. From street stly to red carpets, jeans can do absolute justice. Origionally, jeans started off a work custume for blue coloured jobs but over the years, they have become an essential fashion piece every closet cannot do without. Today, let us take a look at how to care for jeans so they can serve us for long.
1. To start with, invest in quality jeans. Look out fo well tailored jeans as well as quality fabrics. Note that cheap fabrics fray easily and cannot withstand wear and tear.
2. Again, when you buy a new pair of jeans, do well to wash before you wear them as jeans shrink some few inches when you wash them. Due to this reason, buy jeans that are slightly bigger than your size so when they shrink, you can still wear them.
3. Do not wash your jeans with bleach or harsh detergents as they fade the color off the jeans unless you want to fade the jeans intentionally.
4. Wash your jeans with cold water and dry them out in shade but not in the hot sun as th sun can bleach off the color of the jeans.
5. Constantly folding your jeans along the same lines can cause the color along those lines to fade. Also do well to wash yuor jeans less often.
6. You can give your old jeans new life by dyeing them in a different color. If you love street style, why not cut out sections of the jeans such as along the knees to give your jean a new vibe.
7. You can also let your creativity run wild by attaching trimmings and accessories to your jeans.
Remember when you threat your jeans well, they will serve you well.
